Terms of Service
Last updated 26 July 2026
These terms govern your use of the RoadRageMap app and website, operated by [OPERATOR NAME] ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. If you do not, do not use RoadRageMap.
RoadRageMap is not an emergency service. Nobody monitors reports in real time and filing one summons no help. If you are in danger, or an incident is happening now, stop and call your local emergency number. Never use this app while driving.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering you confirm that you are, and that any information you give us is accurate.
2. What this service is
RoadRageMap lets users publish accounts of driving incidents on a shared map. Browsing is open to anyone; posting, honking and flagging require an account.
Reports are unverified. Each one is a single person's account of something they say happened. We do not investigate, confirm or endorse them. A report is not a legal record, not evidence of wrongdoing, and not a substitute for a police report or an insurance claim.
3. Rules for what you post
You agree that you will not post content that:
- Identifies a private individual. Do not post licence plates, names, addresses, phone numbers, workplaces, social media handles, or any other detail that could identify a specific person. There is deliberately no plate field — do not work around it by putting one in the text.
- Is false. Do not fabricate incidents, exaggerate what happened, or file reports about people you have a grievance with.
- Targets someone's identity. Describe the driving, not the driver's race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or age.
- Harasses, threatens or incites. Do not use a report to pursue a dispute, encourage retaliation, or organise anyone against a person.
- Infringes someone else's rights, including copyright in photos or video you did not take.
- Was captured unlawfully, or while you were driving.
You also agree not to scrape or bulk-download the service, attempt to identify individuals from reports, use RoadRageMap to build a database about specific people, interfere with its operation, or evade a suspension.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display it for the purpose of operating and promoting the service. That licence continues for content you have taken down, to the extent we retain it as described below.
You confirm that you have the right to post what you upload, and that it is an honest account of something you personally experienced or witnessed.
5. Reports cannot be edited
Once filed, a report's text and media are fixed. Rewriting an accusation after people have reacted to it is not something the service permits. You can take your own report down at any time, which removes it from the map and from search.
Takedown is not erasure. We retain the underlying record, including uploaded media, so that there is an audit trail for moderation and for responding to legal complaints. If you need something permanently deleted, contact us.
6. Moderation
Any signed-in user can flag a report. Flags are private — neither the author nor other users can see who flagged what.
We may remove or hide any content, and suspend or terminate any account, at our discretion — in particular where content breaks section 3, where a report appears fabricated, or where an account is used to harass. We aim to review flagged content promptly but do not guarantee a response time, and we are not obliged to monitor content proactively.
If you believe content about you is defamatory, infringing, or identifies you, email support@roadragemap.com with a link and an explanation. We will review it and remove it where warranted.
7. Your account
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure, and for everything posted from it. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised.
You may delete your account at any time from within the app (You → Delete my account), or by contacting us. Deleting an account removes your display name from your reports but does not by itself remove the reports; you can choose to take them down at the same time. See the Privacy Policy for what is retained.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any report is accurate, complete or truthful.
You rely on reports at your own risk. Do not make driving, confrontation or safety decisions on the basis of what appears here.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill or reputation, arising from your use of the service or from content posted by any user. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against any claim, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from content you post, or from your breach of these terms or of any law or third-party right.
11. Changes and termination
We may modify these terms, and will update the date above and give notice in the app for material changes. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it. We may suspend or discontinue the service, in whole or in part, at any time.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in [COUNTY, STATE], and you consent to their jurisdiction.
