Delete your account
Last updated 26 July 2026
You can delete your RoadRageMap account at any time. Here is how, and exactly what happens to your data when you do.
From inside the app
Open RoadRageMap, go to the You tab, and tap Delete my account at the bottom. You will be asked to confirm with your password (or with Google, if that is how you sign in), and given the option to take your reports off the map at the same time.
Deletion takes effect immediately.
If you no longer have the app
Email support@roadragemap.com from the address on the account, with "Delete my account" in the subject. We will confirm your identity and action the request within 30 days.
Tell us in that email if you also want your reports taken off the map — deletion does not do that on its own.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in credentials
- Your email address and display name
- Your honks
- Your display name on every report you filed — they become unattributed
What is kept, and why
- Your reports stay on the map, without your name, unless you choose to take them down. Deleting an account is not a way to retract accounts that other people have already relied on, and reports are not editable once filed.
- Reports you take down stop appearing to everyone, but the underlying record and any uploaded photos or video are retained. That audit trail is what lets us respond to moderation issues and legal complaints about content that was once public. Email us if you need something permanently erased and we will remove it.
- Flags you submitted against other reports are retained without your name, so moderation decisions remain reviewable.
- Crash diagnostics expire automatically after 90 days.
Deletion is permanent. There is no recovery period and no way to restore an account once it is gone. If you only want to stop using the app, signing out is enough.
